By booking storage services with HBCU Student Storage LLC (“Company”), you agree to the following terms:
1. Services
We provide pickup, storage, and delivery of your belongings during the agreed service period.
2. Payment & Deposit
- A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your storage.
- Monthly storage fees (if applicable) must be paid on time.
- Late or missed payments may result in delays, additional fees, or suspension of service.
3. Pickup & Delivery
- You (or a representative) must be present at scheduled pickup and delivery times.
- Missed appointments may result in additional charges.
- Delivery dates must be scheduled in advance.
4. Packing Responsibility
- Customers are responsible for properly packing and labeling all items.
- The Company is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing.
5. Prohibited Items
You may NOT store:
- Food or perishable items
- Liquids
- Hazardous or flammable materials
- Weapons or illegal items
- Cash, jewelry, or valuables
We reserve the right to refuse or dispose of prohibited items.
6. Liability
- We take reasonable care of your belongings, but storage is at your own risk.
- We are not responsible for:
- Damage due to improper packing
- Normal wear and tear
- Events outside our control (fire, theft, weather, etc.)
We recommend purchasing personal insurance for valuable items.
7. Access to Items
- Customers do not have direct access to storage units.
- Special access requests may require advance notice and additional fees.
8. Cancellations
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before pickup.
9. Abandoned Property
Items left unclaimed or unpaid for beyond 60 days may be disposed of or sold to recover costs.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services.
11. Agreement
By completing your booking, you confirm that:
- You have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions
- You understand the risks associated with storage services
